| 4:30 pm Thursday 11 November 2004 Well I just dropped off my temporary driver's license to my lawyer. Some time tomorrow, after the MVA hearing, I start my 120 day suspension from driving privileges. I guess I will be able to be re-instated 12 March 2005. Because I refused the breathalyzer I had only two options, lose my license for 120 days or do the inter-lock car installed breathalyzer for a year. It's going to be a pain not driving until March but I brought it on myself. I replay the events of that night in my mind constantly. No accidents, no deaths, just got caught. The horrible thing is I had a ride that night but she got to talking and after waiting for a long time for her I said the hell with it and left in my own vehicle. Oh well, live and learn. Hopefully those people who give me rides for the next four months won't get too annoyed doing such. I have the personal number of a taxi cab driver so need be I can still get around. Just cost a few bucks. I plan on staying in more. If people want me to go out they will just have to learn that they have to pick me up. I will have to adjust my sleeping and work schedule. I will ride with dad to and from work but he has to get here at 5am before the plumbers head out to the field. Being the computer guru at the company, I can make pretty much my own hours, or at least used to be able to. It will be a tough adjustment at first but the body is an amazing thing and somewhere after 20 days of this it will adjust on its own to accept the early morning wake-up as normal. Well just another one of those things in life to get through caused by one of my bad choices. Nothing to do but get it done now. Wish me luck. Leo 4 |
