Mud Room
Part of the 1995-96 addition, the Mud Room provides a utilitarian space to store outdoor gear and to insulate the remainder of the home from the wear and tear of the mud, dirt, snow, and other elements that are routinely brought inside by an active family. The room features a variety of wall finishes from the former exterior stucco to pine paneling salvaged from a local Civil-War era barn to new sheetrock. The flooring is ceramic tile by the rear door with prefinished oak tongue & groove on the remainder. A large trap door provides walk-out access to the basement as well as crawl-space access under the addition. Two wall cabinets, a closet, and a built-in coat rack provide additional storage. The chest freezer does not convey. |
