The c.1894 section of the house was originally finished with German siding and shingled gables. A mid-20th century renovation covered this finish with wire mesh and stucco. The 1995-96 addition has wire mesh and stucco over plywood sheathing. The c.1894 roof is an aluminum-tin metal alloy. The 1995-96 addition has a pre-enameled metal roof with a twenty-year paint warranty.
Spot lights are located on the sides and rear of the house with electrical outlets on the two porches and the deck. A hose bib has been roughed-in under the front porch and only requires a connection to the supply line in the basement to be operational. An additional outside faucet is adjacent to the storage shed/garage.
