07.30 PM- SING BAJA-
Sri Daya Nayak came with his troupe from G.Udaygiri, Kandhamal, Orissa to show this
native folk dance. This dance is confined to the drumbeaters that play the typical drums in the heroic mood. The beats are loud & heart throbbing.
This is a traditional drumbeat of the Kandhamal area. Big dhols, nisans, timkidis, Mahuri are used in this dance. The
players show drills & acrobatics during the performance.

07.45 PM- RAJBANSI DANCE-
Smt. Krishna Banerjee from Jalpaigudi, West Bengal performed this dance The male & female dancers dance with a social theme. |

08.00 PM- MUNDARI NACH-
Sri Karlus Marky performed the dance with his party. They were from Marky Pada,
Sundergarh, and Orissa. The ladies dance clinging to each other while males play musical instruments. The Munda tribe has dances for different occasions
Three of them are Khemta (Karma), Orjadur (Funeral), Sendhera (Joyous dance). They performed Khemta dance here.

08.15 PM- CHHAU DANCE-
From Purulia of West Bengal, Sri Manik Chand Mukherjee led this troupe.
This folk dance is performed in a heroic mood with the loud sound of Dhumsa & trumpets. The dancers are
identified with their colorful masks on their faces. They performed a story from the Ramayan- Mahiravana Badha.

08.30 PM- SAAT BAHANI-
This dance was presented by the troupe from Bagla, Bolangir of Orissa. Sri Santanu
Purohit choreographed the dance with a theme in a typical folk form. Thee theme is that a young man was trapped in the pond while taking bath. It is
believed that seven divine sisters are there among whom one courted him for marriage. They are the sisters of Goddess Samalai. |

09.00 PM- DANDIA &
GORBO- This folk party is from Baroda, Gujurat. Sarad Pandya
performed this dance with his troupe. They dance Dandia with staffs in their hands & Gorbo with lights. These dances are generally performed during
Dussera. |

Lastly Sri Surendra Kumar, I.A.S, Collector & Chairman, District
Council of Culture, Sambalpur thanked the people for the grand success of the festival. With the beats of traditional drums & display of fire works,
the festival was declared closed by Sri Jay Narayan Mishra, M.L.A., Sambalpur. |

08.45 PM- BHANGDA- This was presented by Sri Sarabjit Singh & his
troupe from Kapurtala of the Punjab. The dancers with typical Punjabi costumes dance with stick & chain. This loud dance is with drums & a
typical blowing instruments with a couple of pipes. They dragged the officials & spectators from the audience gallery & make them dance with
their tune.
