Orissa Lok Sangeet O Nrutya Mahotsav-2004, popularly known as Lok Mahotsav-2004 is being organized on the 4th,
5th & 6th January’2004 on the Gangadhar Mukta Mancha, near Veer Surendra Sai Hall, Sambalpur. The main activities of this
festival, this year are.Presentation of folk songs & dances of this area, of the state (Orissa) & of other states of India. (3 tier), on the open
air semi circle arena of Gangadhar Mukta Manch, Sambalpur |

Seminars on folk music & dance of this area with demonstration (on the 5th & 6th
January’2004 from 10 AM to 5 PM in two sessions daily ) are being organized .Experts will discuss on “The Ups & Downs of Sambalpuri literature “,
“The cultural heritage of Bolangir, Kalahandi & Nuapada.” “The Fine Arts & Handicrafts of Western Orissa.” and an elaborate demonstration of Nachnia & Bajnia (two popular styles of Sambalpuri folk music)
