Third day program was inaugurated by Sri Ananga Udaya Singhdeo, Hon’ble Minister of Orissa for Coal & Mines, Information Technology & Tourism.

06.00PM- The folk singer of the day are:
Sri Dhruba Giri- Chhatisgadi Folk ,Smt. Pramila Gonda- Sambalpuri Folk ,Sri Dilip Suna- Sambalpuri Folk , Miss DhrutitapaMishra- Marathi Folk,Smt. Padmavati- Telugu Folk
06.30 PM- SAMBALPURI DANCE-
A well choreographed Sambalpuri folk dance was presented by “Swara Jhankar”, Sambalpur. The dancers performed the traditional “Dalkhai Dance”. Dalkhai refers to the goddess Durga & the dance is performed during Bhaijiuntia in Dussera. In the time of marriage & ceremonial functions, ladies folk dance Dalkhai with the tune of Dhol, Nisan, Tasa, Mahuri & Jhanj.

06.45 PM- ANDHRA PRADESH LOK NRUTYA-

A typical folk dance “Sankranti Sanandrati” was presented by Ram Babu & party from Kakinada, Andhra Pradesh.

07.00 PM- SAILODI NRUTYA-

This tribal dance was presented by Duryodhan Mallik & party of Nawarangpur, Orissa. This is a typical tribal dance of the Bhatra tribe of Nabarangpur. The ladies dance in line clinging to each other while the male folk play musical instruments like Timkidi, khadkhadi, Mahuri etc. The song gives the theme of love & joy.

07.15 PM- BAJASAL-

This dance was presented by Mahavir Sanskrutika Anusthan, Bhawanipatna, Kalahandi. The prominence in this dance is musical instrument, their rhythm & loudness. The girls dance the typical folk dance of western part of Orissa. The dhol & nisan players show interesting acrobatics while playing the instruments. These types of dances are performed during marriage ceremony.
