This dance has got a theme of encounter of Sabar &
Sabari. This story goes back to Dwapar Yuga, when Sumedha was born in
Gopapura & used to sell berries to child Krishna. It is believed that she was an incarnation of the Sabari who fed berries to Ramachandra in Tretaya.

07.35PM- Mahila Karamsani-Sargi Bahal, Bargarh
Generally, Karamsani dance is performed by male & female folk. Here the ladies
performed it. Most attractive part in
this particular dance is the song rendering by two girl children.

08.25PM- Parla Nacha- Nuapada.
This is a typical marriage dance of Chhatisgarh area where the people have the tradition to dance
with the bridegroom, putting him on large flat bamboo basket. Here, in this dance, they carried the bride on that Parla & seven ladies made her swing by
singing bridal song.
