Facts about Little Britain

Little Britain Was written by and stars comedy duo Matt Lucas and David Walliams. The show was based on their award-nominated radio creation - which scaled new heights.

Little Britain is an off-beat look at life in Britain it is high-quality sketched bassed show. Anthony Head (billed as Anthony Stewart Head when he appeared in the US fantasy show Buffy The Vampire Slayer) appeared here as Michael, the Tony Blair-like Prime Minster, and Tom Baker provided a God-like voice as a linking narrator. Sketches range from quick to recurring sketches such as Mr Mann and World Record.

In Little Britain viewers met with an assortment of memorable characters: Andy, the lazy git who basically doesnt need a wheelchair nor indeed kindly long suffering carer Lou, (the characters grew out of the Lou Reed and Andy Warhol characters the pair had toyed with in Rock Profiles) Sebastian Love, who as the Prime Ministers assistant has a huge crush on his boss, and is insanely jealous of anyone who goes within 2 feet of him! Vicky Pollard the ex-Borstal teenage single mum, who talks ten to the dozen and most of the time totally irrelevant topics. Daffyd, who claims is only gay in the Welsh village of Llandewi Breffi, ; Marjorie Dawes, the monsterous leader of the Fat Fighters diet club (which started life in Matts early career as scorer on Reeves and Mortimers shooting stars) Bernard Chumley, aging theatrical ex-actor and paralysed sister Kitty (whom weve yet to see, also previously separate show for Matt). Pint sized Dennis Waterman, who wants to compose and sing the 'Feeme Toon' for every TV programme he is offered! Amongst other memoriable characters, which varied between the 2 series.

The show also had a touch of The League Of Gentlemen about it but was lighter in content. The show quickly overtook that success. Last last year they announced Little Britain tour during end of 2005 early 2006, which as virtually sold out!
