  Magic Kingdom

In October Dave and I went to Magic Kingdom at Disney World in Orlando.

Disney was beautifully decorated for fall, and the weather was great.

Mickey-head tomatoes grow in Mickey Mouse's backyard.

The cartoon houses were cute. I loved Mickey's closet full of button shorts and white gloves.

Even if it's decades old, the famous It's a Small World ride was one of my favorites. Peter Pan was cute, and the haunted ride was pretty clever.

The giant tree in the Winnie-the-Pooh park. I got sick on the tea-cup ride, which I wanted to ride, being 1 of 4 things I remember from going to Disneyland in California when I was 5 years old.

I wasn't a fan of the pirate ride, nor the way they changed the tiki-room bird show. Dave was disappointed Thunder Mountain was closed.

Dave tries on Mickey's sorcerer's apprentice hat. We bought Mickey Mouse plates, clear Disney playing cards, a bongo drum and flute for my new musical instrument collection, and the Disney music CDs, which Dave's family grew up listening to.

My favorite was the Swiss Family Robinson tree. I'm already a plant fanatic, so the idea of living in a tree appeals to me.

The thing is huge and is made up just like the movie. Heaven.

I sat at the entrance for this last picture at the end of the day. Our feet hurt, but we had a wonderful time in happy land.
