6th - Will fired up.

Will Young has spoken for the first time about Light My fire going up against Ant and Dec's England World Cup song in the charts - and he is not impressed.
He told me " I find it impossible to believe that they are releasing a song linked to football.
" I have seen their atrocious football skills and the phrase two left feet comes to mind.
"Still, let the battel commence when the songs come out on May 27th.

3rd - Jessica Garlick says she's grown to love her surname

Jessica Garlick says she's grown to love her surname over the years because 'it's so unusual.'
But she says she was teased at school about it.
The Pop Idol singer is representing Britain in this year's Eurovision Song Contest which takes place in Estonia on May 25.
She told OK! magazine: "Though I did get hassled about it at school, it has never really bothered me that much and, over the years, I have grown to love it as it's so unusual."
And she says
Will Young has been giving her advice on coping with fame game.
"We talk a lot, especially now I'm promoting my first single and with Eurovision coming up. He is definitely the person I turn to for advice. I also became close to his family after I was eliminated from Pop Idol - they are lovely."

Jessica's debut single Come Back is released on May 13.

2nd - Neil Gives Will Career Advice

Neil Tennant may have hated Pop Idol, but the big-hearted chap
is rather concerned about
Will Young, especially regarding the reasons why he decided to come out as gay at such an early stage of his a career.
Speaking to Attitude magazine, the Pet Shop Boys legend said : "I'd be very interested in the circumstances that surrounded his coming out. I saw the News Of The World when it happened and I don't actually trust them but I thought their upbeat pro-gay editorial was very interesting."
Despite his distrust of tabloids, Neil admitted that the coverage was, in fact, a great step forward in terms of how homosexuality is regarded in the media these days. "[The article] is precisely the sort of thing that changes attitudes," he continued. "The ghastly drama of being gay is fading away."
Moving away from
Will's sexuality, Neil also offered the 23-year-old hopeful some helpful advice so that his career as a popstar will last just that bit longer than Hear'Say's.
"My advice for him, if he really wants to survive in pop music would be to think why does he want to do it," Neil explained. "Does he want to be famous, or does he want to be a singer? Does he really want to do something new or does he want to be part of the music business? He has to have artistic artistic ambitions otherwise he won't survive. He's obviously quite a bright guy so he should think what he wants to get out of it personally and creatively."
