10th - Will Lights Up The Pops

Well, what a fantabulous night it was at yesterday's Pops! The highlight of
the evening just had to be the presence of everyone's fave pop idol -
cheeky-grinned chipmunk
Will Young.

Little Willy chatted to us about his new swinging '60s style video for
'Light My Fire', told us the secrets of his, ahem, lucky boxer shorts and
about how he tried to break Gareth's legs when his single got to No.1 (he
was joking, of course - Ed!)

He also warned fans about getting too overwhelmed when coming to see him in
concert. The shy fella said: "Oh dear, please don't throw your knickers on
the stage. You can slip on them. Save your knickers please!" So there you
have it, fans, keep your pants on.

VARIOUS ARTISTS 'THE VERY BEST POP ALBUM'

Like the Now and Hits collections before them, the concept behind this new compilation series is pretty simple. The Very Best Pop Album is just packed with today's biggest tunes, 'nuff said.

So, what Top 40 delights have we on offer here, then? Well, unsurprisingly, the Pop Idol crew fill their fair share of the quota, with dreamy Gareth Gates's karaoke rendition of The Righteous Brothers' hit Unchained Melody morphing seamlessly into
Will Young's chart-topping Anything Is Possible, from the prolific pop pen of Cathy Dennis.

Things then take a drastic change of direction with Oasis's rock dirge, The Hindu Times, before going a little bit Balearic with X-press 2's Lazy, featuring the unmistakable and much-missed vocals of former Talking Head, David Byrne.

That truly rousing slice of US rock, You Remind Me by Nickelback, makes the grade, as do Alicia Keys's Fallin', Mis-teeq's homegrown dance hit B With Me and The Hives's raucous Main Offender.

Christina Milian, Britney Spears, Puretone, Westlife and Faithless also put in appearances on what is a solid, if unspectacular, hits selection.

9th - Behind The Scenes of Light My Fire

As promised you can now catch some exclusive video taken from behind the scenes at the 'Light My Fire' video shoot.

The video, shot in colour, features exclusive footage that didn't make it into the final video cut. You can watch
Will taking part (and winning) various races including the beanbag race, wheelbarrow race, piggy back race and even the three-legged race! Also you'll be able to check out some fantastic shots of him chilling out, relaxing and having a laugh with the rest of the cast on set.

During the footage
Will talks about what an incredible two days he had filming the video and how it had been like throwing 'a great big party'. He talks about his competitive nature, which comes to the forefront in the races, and about how much he loved driving around London with Fanny and Simon in the beautiful old Austin Healy. You can also hear him talk about learning the 'hustle' for the pool scene and his acapella recorded at the end of the day that appears at the very end of the video.
