Leslie Reed-Evans, Executive Director Williamstown Rural Lands Foundation a private non-profit land trust loves birds, wildlife, and nature all around, so when the opportunity to become Executive Director of the Williamstown Rural Lands Foundation arose, she knew that the fit was right for her, although it wasn’t anything she had done before. Leslie has spearheaded several successful projects to preserve farmland and nature trails. For the campaign for Sheep Hill Farm, almost $500,000 has been raised already.

Patricia Richard, author of Fitness by Patricia, a monthly column in the Health and Fitness Journal, at age 42, reached her goal to become Mrs. U.S.A.  She tells us of the many steps along the way, and what she learned about beauty that comes from within.

Robert Rivard brings his experience as a war correspondent in Central America during the civil wars of the eighties back to the newsroom as editor of The San Antonio Express-News. As a  young man a fascination with news motivated him and continues to do so.

  Larry Robin’s grandfather started Robin’s Book Store in 1936. As proprietor of an independent book store, Larry has stood in the forefront of defense of the first amendment, putting his weight behind a challenge to the ban on the sale of the Tropic of Cancer by Henry Miller in the 70’s, and the  broad scope of child access laws of the eighties. Competition from mega booksellers, and the deterioration of the neighborhood in which his independent bookstore is located led to some tough times, but his dedication to writers and writing has brought him through. 

 Charlie Rose, no relative to the talk show host, had a taste of gangs and prison as a teenager. That experience gave him insights that have informed his approach to inner city youth and youth violence.  He is currently Vice President and Dean of City Year, a national program which brings a corps of 17-24 year olds into inner-city schools to work with school children 

  Jean Rosow  always loved to draw, but her parents didn’t think that art could be a career, so she studied Russian in college with thoughts of joining the foreign service or becoming a translator.  Things didn’t work out that way. She married, took other jobs, but managed to fit art into each job in some way.  She now creates art for the ages, as she says. Her advice is do what you love to do. 

Elisabeth Rozin  loves eating, cooking, and writing about food. She lectures about food and is a consultant to the food industry. She applies flavor principles she worked out in her first  book to create authentic ethnic cuisine anyone can copy and enjoy.

 

 

Seth Rozin knows where his talents lie, and he has many. He is a playwright, a director, co-founder of InterAct Theater Company, and Producing Artistic Director of InterAct Theater Company, Seth Rozin takes advantage of the opportunities that present themselves and creates opportunities for himself and the people who work with him.
