Hon. Henry E. Catto, Chairman of the Atlantic Council of the United States, Vice-Chairman of The Aspen Institute, former Director of the United States Information Agency, and former U.S. Ambassador to Great Britain, among many formidable accomplishments, grew up in San Antonio. His desire to be noticed led him to run for office, but rather than becoming an elected official, his increasingly demanding political appointments brought him into relationships with Kings, Queens, Emperors, and Prime Ministers.

Alicia Conill followed her heart song to become a medical doctor, but shortly after joining the faculty at University of Pennsylvania Medical School she developed symptoms of multiple sclerosis. Despite the disease, she built a robust practice until the time came when the numbness in her fingers put her patients in jeopardy.  Although giving up her lifelong dream devastated her, she rebounded to follow another heart song, teaching, and founded the Conill Institute for Chronic Illness.

Catherine Nixon Cooke  is an adventurer, an explorer, a leader, and a writer. She comes from a family of extraordinary thinkers. Her uncle, Tom Slick, about whom she has written, founded The Mind Science Foundation, of which Catherine was executive director, as well as The Southwest Foundation for Biomedical Research among other institutions. Catherine has  traveled to Nepal, Indonesia, and other exotic locations in search of answers to mysteries our Western minds barely grasp.

William T. Coulter.  Bill is an artist, humorist, photographer and philosopher.  Over a period of 25 years he has provided 2100 illustrations for the Washington Post, without a contract of any kind.  Independent and creative, Bill revels in a career that allows him to do what he loves without corporate constraint or interference.

Nan Cuba is a writer, teacher, and community leader. As founder and Executive Director of Gemini Ink she developed an institution that not only provides high quality classes for writers and would-be writers, but reaches into the community with its Reader’s Theater Programs, Writers in the Community Programs, and public lectures. Her own interest in writers and writing spurred her to create an enduring institution that enhances the quality of life for the entire community.

Elliott Curson designed and executed thousands of advertising campaigns.  He was brought in to salvage Ronald Reagan’s run for the Presidency and the ad campaign, the result of his genius, is credited with winning the election for Reagan.  He was a boy wizard at 22 and now is regarded as a media guru with expertise in print, radio and tv. Those things he loved, art, photography, the written word, the spoken word, lead him to advertising in which he works with inspiration and discipline.
