It is said that long ago a god of destruction summoned forth great lumbering hulks to challenge the world and do his bidding in its destruction, from this summoning fell to the earth the Nephilim. The Nephilim where a great and powerful race, however the were not created by this god, but summoned by him, therefore many choose not to obey. These few that avoided doing the dark lords bidding were immediately killed, however periodically one or two would escape. Hundreds of years past, until all the original Nephilim had expired their mortal lives and died, all that had escaped had fled to the mountains, and the offspring were born free of chaotic influences.
There they lived in the mountains for many hundreds of years, developing their own society and history until they began calling themselves the Nagian. On one day a human was making his way over the mountain which the Nagians resided in, he mistakenly attacked one of the Nagian children and was quickly captured and bound for his crimes. The Nagians where curious of this small creature that so aggressively attacked an innocent child. Upon questioning this stranger they learned that a race of people know as humans had fallen under heavy attack by huge creature that closely resembled the Nagians. Not being forgetful of there history the brave Nagians decided that they must do there part to protect these poor little humans.
From the mountains they marched wearing simple wooden armor, and wielding axes of stone and rock. They waged bloody battle against their Nephilim brethren until both races nearly annihilated each other in battle. The result saved the race of man, and left the Nephilim crushed and abandon by their leader to find their own path. The Nagians too had taken extreme losses, and returned to the mountains to live away from strife and pain.
Now Nagians are often welcomed into human cities and towns with little animosity other than toward their rather bulky size. Nagians are a gentle race that is both slow and rather dumb in comparison to humans, but is far more physically gifted. While they do not generally attack the kinder races they will avidly engage in combat with the Nephilim and hold no remorse for killing people of that ill begotten race. |
