The race known as Half-Elves are not considered by the people of the world as a true race such as the Halflings, Human's, Elves, and so on. They are in reality the off-spring of Human and Elven marriages. One would think that because of this they are not accepted in the world, but it's quite the opposite. Half-Elves are accepted by both Human's and Elves, but not held in high regard as they are not a pure race. Other races as well have found them to generally acceptable and this has made them to be very charismatic among all races of the world.
Being of a mixed heritage, Half-Elves take on attributes of both parent races, having a much bulkier build than their elven counterparts, but at the same time are almost as strong as humans. Half-Elves also lose some of their magical aptitude. They are also very competent in all professions of the world. Many of them was kind and pure hearted, but unlike the elves they are not bound so strongly to purity, so some of them have deserted the ways of light and taken to the darkness of the world in forms of selfishness and personal gain.
Half-Elves can usually be found in almost all habitable places of life, though they are usually found more in cities and villages than in mountains and desert places, and because they are a relatively young race in the world you will find that their impact on history has been minimal, or credited to the elves. When one is looking it is not very hard to spot them, as their ears are slightly pointed, a gift from their Elven parents. |
