Midway Geyser Basin. This is one of my favorite photos in the Winter.
Winter in Yellowstone is like entering another world. It is so beautiful. The only way to really enjoy it is to be there. I have been there about 6 times now, and love it every time. Enjoy the photos.....
The Yellowstone Falls. Oh how gorgeous this is in the Winter.
The walk to the Brink of the Falls. Notice the snow on the sides. They try to keep the walks clean during the winter.
Old Faithful and Elk in the Winter. What a pretty scene...
The forest area of Canyon Area. Wonderful..............
The West Thumb area. I love this place...........
Old Faithful at dusk in the Winter......
Skiers at Old Faithful. Yellowstone has many trails for skiers to enjoy during the Winter....
Here I am getting ready to head out for a day in the Park. It is fun to ride the snowmobiles into the park. West Yellowstone area...
Another look at Midway Geyser Basin. Cold.................
This is a snowcat that we took into the park in Jan. 2000. It is a warm way to see the park. They can seat about 11 people plus coolers, etc.
This is my family in Yellowstone, Jan. 2000. I think this was Canyon.....
Now you tell me, does this look cold to you??? Midway Geyser.....
My kids call these ghosts. The steam allows the snow to build on the ground and trees to make this effect.. Cool right?
This is the trail to the Brink of the Falls, just up from Canyon. Look at all the snow on the edges of the cliffs...
One of the cabins at the Lake hotel. Lots of snow on the roof. Feb. 1984...
The walkway leading to the Fountain Paint Pots. Feb. 1986
Christmas Tree Rock along the Madison River, just before the Junction.
The tree growing in the rock is decorated just before the the staff leaves for the fall season.
Polar Bears relaxing as they watch Old Faithful. (Just kidding). Just checking to see if you are awake....
This is one of my best photos of Old Faithful. I really like this one. I used a reddish filter to get the effect.
My daughter took this photo of the Firehole Falls. This is a nice ride any time of the year. The Firehole Drive, just past Madison Junction. Jan. 2000......
