This shot is of Nate Hendricks at the Pickaway County Fair after winning 1st Place in Class 1 and Class 3. As far as we know, these mowers are unnamed. The yellow mower (Class 1) is a Cub Cadet and the red mower (Class 3) is a Snapper and is powered by a 11 HP Briggs & Stratton, and we're not sure of the years.

Nate has been racing go-carts for over 30 years and lawnmowers for over 10 years. He owns his own lawnmower shop (HENDRICK'S SMALL ENGINES). Nate is a Charter Member of the OHIO MOWER RACERS.

Nate recently did an exhibition race at Charlotte Motor Speedway in mid July, 1998. There were about 20 mowers there racing at 60 MPH on BLACK TOP!! This was aired on RPM Tonite on ESPN shortly thereafter.

Here's a shot of Nate Hendricks and Kurt Schwangle battling it out for 1st Place at the STA-BIL Motor City Regional at the Wayne County Fair in Belleville, Michigan. Nate took home three trophies at that regional. He won 1st Place in AP Class, 1st Place in BP Class (both with Cub Cadet), and 2nd Place in FX Class (with Snapper). Now that's what I call cleaning house!

Nate recently won first place at the STA-BIL Buckeye Regional at the Marysville All Ohio Balloon Festival on August 22nd, 1998. Nate won 1st Place in the AP Class and we're not sure where he finished in the FX Class. Pictures will be here soon from this race!

Nate is also a Charter Member with the US Lawn Mower Racing Association and has been racing with them since their first National event in 1992. Nate started out in the A Prepared Class (8 HP) but now runs in the Factory Experimental Class (modified) with the USLMRA. He has won a quite a few National and Regional Championship titles, and was ranked 4th Nationally at the 1997 STA-BIL Championship.

Nate participated in the Motor City Regional in Belleville, Michigan on July 22, 1999, in the Factory Experimental Class. Nate was running in second place for most of the race, but ended up placing in a respectible third.

Here is a picture of Nate on a borrowed mower (#52 - THE GATES BELT SPECIAL) from fellow OMR Member, Greg Honchell. Nate ALWAYS brings his racing gear with him no matter where he goes.....just in case someone has something for him to race!! This shot shows two guys on two borrowed mowers -- that's also Larry Potenza on his wife's mower "THE IRON MAIDEN" that he borrowed. Larry wasn't going to race that day because his mower was in the middle of modifications, but couldn't stand it any longer either and borrowed the mower! Nate finished in 2nd Place with Chuck Miller coming in 1st and Greg Honchell finishing in 3rd (now that would stink for Greg to get beat with his own mower!!)

Nate came out of hiding in 8/02 to participate in the All Ohio Balloon Festival Mow-Down in Marysville, Ohio. Nate was racing fellow teammate, Steve Sergent's, mower "Nuff Said" as Steve was battling lung cancer, but still wanted his mower to be out there even if he couldn't. Nate cleaned house in both AP and SP class divisions on "Nuff Said". He presented the trophies to Steve when the day was finished, and Steve was just as proud as if he'd won them himself and showed them to anyone who visited. No matter whose mower Nate is one, he is usually the "one to beat...."

Nate hasn't given us a list of all of his trophies yet (and there have been many), but here are the ones we pulled from our memory.......(OH NO!)
