WELCOME TO THE DEWBERRY MUDBOGGERS AND OHIO MOWER RACERS DRIVERS PROFILE PAGES!!

CHUCK MILLER WITH BOOGIE WOOGIE AND TROPHY

This shot is of Chuck Miller at the Pickaway County Fair after winning 2nd Place in Class 3. This lawnmower is appropriately named "BOOGIE WOOGIE" and powered by a 13-horsepower Honda Harmony engine. This mower has a Ingersol frame, but we're not sure of the year.

Chuck has been racing go-carts for many years, and lawnmowers for 7 years. Chuck also has been competing in tractor pulls for years. I guess he'll take competition anywhere he can find it!!! Chuck owns his own lawnmower shop (MILLER'S LAWN & POWER EQUIPMENT). Chuck's faithful pit crew member is his wife, Debbie. They are both Charter Members of the OHIO MOWER RACERS.

Chuck recently won a few first place trophies in Illinois with the United States Lawn Mower Racing Association -- he is the Factory Experimental Champion for the Central Illinois Regional, Land of Lincoln Regional, and the Firecracker Regional. Chuck also has won a 1st Place trophy for Class 3 at the Ohio Mower Racers Sanctioned race at Columbus Motor Speedway. Chuck recently placed second at the Pickaway County Fair in Class 3 (OMR Sanctioned).

Chuck recently did an exhibition race at Charlotte Motor Speedway in mid July, 1998. There were about 20 mowers there racing at 60 MPH on BLACK TOP!! This was aired on RPM Tonite on ESPN shortly thereafter. Chuck won another race!

FACTORY EXPERIMENTAL CLASS AT MOTOR CITY REGIONAL

Here's a shot of Chuck at the STA-BIL Motor City Regional at the Wayne County Fair in Belleville, Michigan. Chuck lapped the field with BOOGIE WOOGIE at that regional.

Chuck recently won first place at the STA-BIL Buckeye Regional at the Marysville All Ohio Balloon Festival on August 22nd, 1998. Chuck had a bad start (very unusual) and came back from last place to the top three. Then he spun out and had to fight his way back to the top -- and he did just that!

Chuck is also a Charter Member with the US Lawn Mower Racing Association and has been racing with them since their first National event in 1992. Chuck started out in the B Prepared Class (8.5-18.5 HP) but now runs in the Factory Experimental Class (modified). Rumors have it that he will be racing in B Prepared Class again soon, too. He has won a quite a few National and Regional Championship titles, and currently is the STA-BIL 1997, 1998, and 1999 Factory Experimental National Champion!!

CHUCK TAKING VICTORY LAP AT 1998 NATIONALS

That's right folks! Chuck won the 1998 Factory Experimental Championship again!

CHUCK MILLER SANDWICH

Here's a shot of Chuck when he got "sandwiched" between Kevin Penne of Illinois, and a hay bail! Even after his hay bath, Chuck took the lead without ANY PROBLEM!

Chuck went to compete at three Regionals in Mendota, Illinois, on June 6, 1999, and during the first regional race, Chuck experienced severe engine problems (spilling all of his oil) and couldn't compete in the remaining two.

Chuck recently started racing in an additional class division, his original racing class, the B Prepared class. His new mower is a Honda garden tractor. Pictures will be here soon for this mower.

Chuck was one of 8 chosen to represent the American BP Class Team at the USLMRA Rider's Cup against the Brits on July 1-2, 2000. The British team was the Champs of the A Class as well as the B Class of the Rider's Cup! The Brits' set-up was a lot faster than the Americans (we were not allowed the same modifications), but everyone had a ball regardless.

Also on July 1-2, 2000, were the Show Down No Leak Automotive Seals Challenge Regionals. Chuck was able to make the races on July 2nd and finished in 2nd Place in the FX Class! He was beat out by Kevin Penne (IL) and placing in 3rd was Brian Waldron (MI). There was a total of 11 racers. In the BP Class, Chuck finished in last place due to some problems (unlucky 13th).

On July 30th, 2000, Chuck attended the Ohio Regional hosted by the USLMRA in Celina, OH. In the BP Class, Chuck finished in 2nd -- being beat by Al Bitterman (IL). Placing 3rd was Alan Elder (GA). There were 7 racers in this race. In the FX Class, Chuck placed 6th (out of 7). Winning the race was Brian Waldron (MI), with 2nd going to Darryl Bratton (IN) and 3rd to Greg Honchell (OH).

CHUCK RECEIVES THE CHECKERED

Here's a shot of Chuck while taking his victory lap for Class 3 at the Auglaize County Fair in Wapakoneta, Ohio, on August 6, 2000! Coming in 2nd was Nate Hendricks (OH) and 3rd Greg Honchell (OH). This race was hosted by the OMR and almost didn't happen due to the severe lightening and down pours! We made a track in the grassy area instead of our usual dirt track and had a great time! In the Class 2 race, Chuck also won! Coming in 2nd was Steve Barber (IN) and 3rd Greg Honchell (OH).

Chuck represented the OMR (and the Buckeyes!) at the STA-BIL Wolverine Regional held in Adrian, Michigan on August 13, 2000. Chuck came in 1st place in the BP Class -- beating out 2nd place finisher Al Bitterman (IL) and 3rd Place finisher Bob Spence (MI). In the FX Class, also received the checkered -- beating out Brian Waldron (MI) and Jeff Simkiss (MI) (2nd and 3rd place finishers, respectively).

At the USLMRA Buckeye Regional held on August 19, 2000, at the All Ohio Balloon Festival in Marysville, Ohio, there were three different regionals. In the 1st BP Class race, Chuck finished in 1st Place!! In the 1st FX Class race, Chuck finished with a respectible 2nd Place (very respectible considering he did this with only 3 wheels! One of his wheels separated from the rim while he was running in 1st place and held onto 2nd with his excellent driving!). Chuck was beat by long-time rival Kevin Penne (IL) with Bob Cleveland (GA) finishing in third. In the 2nd BP Class and FX Class races, Chuck also received 1st Place! In the 3rd BP Class race, Chuck finished in 3rd -- being beat out by Bob Stormer (MT) and Bob Cleveland (GA). In the 3rd FX Class race, Chuck finished in 4th. Coming in 1-2-3 were: Kevin Penne (IL)< Darryl Bratton (IN), and Mike Miller (WI).

At the Indianapolis Regional and Nationals event held on September 1, 2000, Chuck finished 6th in the BP Class for the Regional and was beat out by Bob Cleveland (GA), Alan Elder (GA), and Al Bitterman (IL). There were 15 in this class. Chuck was the 1st Place finisher for the FX Class. Coming in 2nd was Kevin Penne (IL) and Brian Waldron (MI) for 3rd. There were 17 mowers in this class! At the Nationals event, Chuck finished in 4th (out of 14) with Bob Stormer (MT), Mark Boyce (GA), and Bob Cleveland (GA) coming in 1-2-3, respectively. There were 14 mowers this round. In the FX Class Nationals event, Chuck became the NATIONALS CHAMPION AGAIN! Coming in 2nd was Kevin Penne (IL) and Mike Miller (WI). The field dropped to 15 for this race. Way to mow Chuck!

For the USLMRA 2000 Point Standings, Chuck finished the season in 6th Place overall for the BP Class and 4th overall for the FX Class.

To start the 2001 season off, Chuck finished 2nd in the Factory Experimental Class at the exhibition race "Lawn Mower Race for Literacy" held in Mansfield, Ohio, on May 12th, 2001. Kevin Penne from Illinois took home the checkered, with OMR fellow teammate Greg Honchell (Urbana) taking home 3rd place. In the BP Class, Chuck finished in 3rd place behind Al Bitterman of Illinois (1st) and Jim Poden from North Carolina (2nd).

On June 3, 2001, Chuck went to Mendota, Illinois for the 7th Annual STA-BIL Jones Small Engine/Central Illinois Regionals. In the BP Class Jones Small Engine Regional, Chuck finished in 4th place -- with Mark Boyce (Georgia), Al Bitterman (Illinois), and Bob Cleveland (Georgia) taking home the 1-2-3 finishings, respectively. In the FX Class of the Jones Small Engine Regional, Chuck finished in 2nd place behind Kevin Penne (Illinois). Third place went to fellow OMR Teammate Greg Honchell of Urbana. At the Central Illinois Regional held on the same day, Chuck brought home the 2nd place trophy in the BP Class, with Bob Cleveland (Georgia) taking home 1st place and Mark Boyce (Georgia) bring home the 3rd place trophy. In the FX Class for the Central Illinois Regional, Chuck received the checkered flag with Kevin Penne (Illinois) and Mike Miller (Wisconsin) bring home the 2nd and 3rd place trophies, respectively.

On July 21, 2001, Chuck attended the STA-BIL Union County Regional in Marysville, Ohio. In the BP Class, Chuck brought home the checkered flag! In 2nd place was Mark Boyce (Georgia) and Bob Cleveland (Georgia) finishing in 3rd. In the FX Class, Chuck finished in 3rd place behind Kevin Penne (Illinois) who brought home the checkered, and fellow OMR Teammate Greg Honchell finishing in 2nd.

On July 29, 2001, Chuck traveled to Celina, Ohio, for the Ohio Regional. In the BP Class, Chuck finished with a respectible 2nd place finish, with Bob Cleveland (Georgia) bringing home the checkered. In 3rd place was Mark Boyce also of Georgia. In the FX Class, Chuck was victorious against Kevin Penne (Illinois) and fellow OMR Teammate Greg Honchell (Urbana) coming in 2nd and 3rd, respectively.

August 18, 2001 was the 4th Annual Buckeye Regional held in Marysville, Ohio. In the BP Class, Chuck finished in 1st, with Dave Smith (New Jersey) and Mark Boyce (Georgia) coming in 2nd/3rd, respectively. In the FX Class, Chuck Miller and Teammate Greg Honchell were battling it out in the Heat Race when they had a pretty bad accident, flipping Greg Honchell. Chuck's mower was broke after the accident so he couldn't compete in the Trophy Dash, and Greg Honchell left in an ambulance after severely cutting his leg. Greg's OK though and was mad he didn't make it back in time for the trophy dash.....

On September 1st was the STA-BIL Mid America Regional and 10th Annual STA-BIL Nationals in Mendota, Illinois. In the BP Class for the regional, Chuck finished in 1st place, with Bob Cleveland (Georgia) and David Smith (parts unknown) bringing home 2nd and 3rd. In the FX Class for the regional, Chuck finished again in 1st place with Kevin Penne (Illinois) and Lee Frolich (parts unknown) coming in 2nd and 3rd, respectively. In the National results, Chuck finished in 2nd place behind Mark Boyce (Georgia) with Al Bitterman in 3rd (Illinois). In the FX Class for the Nationals, Chuck once again is the FX Nationals Champion! WAY TO MOW CHUCK!! In 2nd place was Kevin Penne (Illinois) and Mike Miller (Wisconsin) finishing in 3rd.

For the 2001 Racing Season, Chuck's overall point standings were: 6th out of 32 racers for Factory Experimental Class, and 9th out of 46 racers for the BP Class.

The United States Lawn Mower Racing Association considers Chuck Miller the "Most Winningest Lawn Mower Racer in USLMRA history...." Chuck is pretty amazing and you'd have to see it to believe it. I've NEVER seen anyone come from starting in 22nd place and end up winning the race. If you blink, you'll miss him pass 5 people or so and that's no lie or exaggeration!

With our shock and bewilderment, Chuck sold his "Boogie Woogie" mower in the 2002 season. I guess when you've beat anybody and everybody year after year after year, he was looking for some new challenges with his BP Mower. No matter who bought it, I'm sure that NOBODY will be as an amazing driver as Chuck was with the "Boogie Woogie" mower. He's pretty spectacular with his BP machine, too, so his fans surely won't be let down. Just to prove my point, Chuck is the 2002 National Champion in BP Class for 2002! Not only that, but he also won 1st Place in the Challenge of Champions in the BP Class! Kickin' grass and taking names! Chuck finished in 11th Place overall for Point Standings in the Factory Experimental Class and 2nd Place overall for Point Standings in the BP Class. Since Chuck travels far and wide to so many races, we will just post the 2002 results below.

With no surprise at all, it was reported to the webmadster that Chuck bought his FX mower, "Boogie Woogie," back again in late 2003. I guess he missed his creation.....I'm sure no one could drive it the same way as Chuck. Chuck has traveled afar in 2003, and you can see his results below. One thing that needs highlighted is that Chuck is once again the National Champion for the BP Class for 2003!! You've made us proud once again! Chuck also finished in the BP Class in 2nd Place for points! Congratulations Chuck!

Lets see how Chuck has done so far.....(Since 1992)
