Alphonse Mucha is one of my favorite artists. During the late 1800's and early 1900'S he painted numerous Art Nouveau images that were used for all things ranging from menus to advertisments and post cards. He even designed jewelry and dinning sets. VERY beautiful and very extravagent!

Inspired by his style and skill, I drew a "Mucha style" image on paper. I then scanned it onto the computer and then began to color (paint as it were) it in using Photoshop 7 using layers.

This project has taken me a very long time to do, but unfortunately (due to comp. problems) I have been forced to leave the Project unfinished for the meantime. Thus, this picture is a Work In Progress (WIP).

Here, you can see the steps I've taken in creating this picture up to this point. I utilized free costume brushes I found on the internet using Yahoo searchengine and created the designs upon the wall behind the woman. The very Art Deco/Nouveau designs in the circle I scanned from a book my best friend has. I think it has turned out very well until this point :)
