Aliens. Don't ask my why, I can't give you an answer except there is something about them that I find... erm... interesting (to say the least *grin*) Maybe it's their darkness, the danger that surrounds them *shrugs* Couldn't tell ye.
Everything thinks their viscious, vile creatures that hunt and kill without mercy. They are exceedingly silent, quick and very cunning. That means they are smart and in no way stupid. I read in a book called Alien vs Predator: Hunter's Planet, that with each new generation, the Aliens in the area they have infested, they grow stronger, faster and more intellegent. And with that in mind...what if...they could act like you or I?
It's possible. And it certainly is in my wild and highly imaginative world!
Here, an Alien (aka Bugs, Bug Men, Xenomorphs) has taken on a more...human personality. He, an Alien Warrior, has become...eh...connected to a woman. He protects her, brings her comfort; he would do almost anything for her...to her.
Anyway, this is the most detailed picture I have colored (painted) to date. With all the ridges and bumps of the Alien's exoskeleton, I had to have a lot of patience (and not to mention a lot of time!) to shade and highlight every part. After I colored both the woman and the Alien (done seperately) I added a new layer and painted a purplish color where shadows would be and lowered the opacity of the shadow layer. This is the finished product and the ONLY finished Project (so far).
I LOVE this one!
