I, Lady Irene, am very proud of my Irish heritage and you'll
find tidbits of the history and my likes of the great Isle of Eire
throughout the different chambers of my castle. And,
then, there are some chambers that aren't so Irish...*BG*

Welcome, perhaps you'd like to know a bit about me...
Let me introduce myself. I'm a mother of two loving sons. My
first born was born with Down Syndrome. I'll delve more
deeply into that later. I work full time away from home
(a regular "8 to 5" job). The only true joy is coming home to
my castle at the end of the day greeted by
two beautiful smiling faces...glad to know "mom's home" once
again, safe, and ready for quality time knowing all
too soon the routine must start over again the next day.

As you guessed, I love everything Irish! So, let's start
by giving you some background on my heritage, then below
you'll find more chambers in my castle to explore.

My family's roots started in the counties Antrim and Cavan.
Antrim County is in the northern part of Ireland. Cavan
county is more centrally located, south and west
of Antrim County. I've researched back to
the 1600's. But to make this short, I'll begin with the
ancestors that immigrated to America in the
mid 1700's. After sailing over
the Atlantic, it all began in Maryland. Harford county.
My great great great great grandparents began life as a married
couple in Maryland, slowly migrating to Ohio then farther west.
Researching through records, I find that I am a fourth cousin
once removed from a famed Civil War General, being related
to my great great great great grandmother.

Now, to give you a tour of my castle and its unique style,
join me throughout all the opened chambers.
Watch your step, the
castle is damp this time of year, and the stone floor may
be slick. Enjoy the stay, and please, come back soon. I'll
be adding more rooms to the tour as I get walls scrubbed and
woodwork waxed and dusted, making it more presentable for my guests.

If you'll be kind enough to sign the Guest Register and
jot down your comments...it'll be very appreciated. Then,
I'll know you've enjoyed your tour and/or I'll take into
consideration your suggestions. If you let me know you were
here, I can repay your visit.
