Gracious Lord
Oh large and tenderhearted one
Most abundant in love and grace
Tireless in compassion and goodwill
My soul overflows with mercies many
Your innumerable kindnesses of every day
Like the memory of our infanthood
Every other pales shamefully
Who can boast of love indeed
Where your veins of blood are dry?
For in unfailing love you have continued
My heart to bless and enrich
Forgiving very absolutely
Remembering never once
Neither the frequency of our excesses
Nor the plenitude of our guilt
To your faithfulness and goodness
We owe ever all we are and will be
