The Knights of Destiny

We call them great who saw through her act
And deciphered well her veiled speech
Who even round meaningless circles
Stayed resolute in steady pursuit
Never one delay was determent enough
Nor any pain worth the excuse
So refusing to be cowed by her antics
They stood and they prevailed
They insisted and were not shamed
Her shadow now falls grandly on their path
And they tower in our eyes as favored
To some even as deities
The especials of the gods
But to them was given no more than to us
Than that they were strong and unrelenting
As must all that will ascend her heights
Which power from none is restrained
Only were ours eyes that see
For she shall prove far worthy in the end
More than all the pains and troubles she caused
Destiny bids all men rise!
