C-3PO (SEE-THREEPIO)

Cybot Galactica
   Designation: Translator
   Affiliation:
Royal House of Alderaan, Rebel Alliance, New Republic, Galactic Alliance
   Weapons: None
   Debut: A New Hope

Though nervous and skittish by nature, C-3PO was very capable of doing his job well, and would gladly boast for hours on end about his many functions...provided that anyone hung around long enough to hear him out.
See-Threepio was not necessarily a boring droid, it was just, as he put it, that he wasn't very good at telling stories - though his life story could perhaps be one of the most interesting tales a being was likely to hear. His frame was created by Cybot Galactica, and eventually found its way into a junk yard on
Tatooine. There, it was picked up by the young Anakin Skywalker, who went on to build C-3PO in his bedroom. Though the droid was not fully complete - he was left 'naked' without an outer shell to cover his innards - he was still a valued member of the Skywalker household. Though Anakin had to leave him behind when he was eventually freed, Threepio continued serving his mother, Shmi, even when she married Cliegg Lars and moved to the moisture farmer's homestead. Threepio was fully covered in a somewhat battered grey shell by the time Anakin returned to Tatooine some ten years later, though events had taken a turn for the worse. Shmi had been captured by Tusken Raiders, and died before Anakin could save her. However, this meant that Threepio once again belonged to Anakin, and the droid was re-united with R2-D2, whom he had briefly met ten years earlier. After a harrowing adventure on Geonosis, the two droids formed a strong partnership, and stayed side-by-side through the Clone Wars.
After the terrible battles, Threepio settled down into a role he was more suited for; serving the royal family of
Alderaan. The droids became the property of Princess Leia Organa, Anakin's daughter, and soon the Rebel Alliance. It was on a mission for the Rebellion that Threepio's adventures began again. His partner located a lost Jedi Knight, and the two were soon on their way back to Alderaan, in the company of their new master, Luke Skywalker. Though Luke was their de facto owner, Threepio spent much of his time with Leia, while Artoo travelled with Luke. Threepio went on to aid the New Republic, and was still around during the Yuuzhan Vong invasion - where he began to question his artificial existance, and wonder what would happen when it ceased. However, Threepio has never yet got to find out, something he thanks the Maker for very much.

First Line
"I am See-Threepio, Human Cyborg Relations. How might I serve you?" - TPM

Last Line
"They did it!" - ROTJ

Played by
Anthony Daniels (I, II, II, IV, V, VI)

Threepio's character has gone through many changes; first he was a bumbling Imperial bureaucrat, then a droid based on a fast-talking car salesman, and a robot that looked a lot like the android in
Metropolis
