The Journey Ends. One could not ask for a better conclusion to, possibly, the greatest motion picture trilogy of this or any time. As all forces make their final stands for the fate of Middle-Earth, the ring-bearer and his companion approach their destination. The battle sequences are stupendous, the emotion is real, and the ending just keeps getting better and better. This film swept the Academy Awards, being nominated for, and winning, 11 awards, including Best Picture. This film deserves every award it won, for films such as these only come along once in an era. Yet again, the extended version is just as awe-inspiring and five star worthy as the original.
Rated PG-13 for epic battle sequences and some scary images.
