BLACK BEAUTY
1994 **** 88 mins.
This is a fun and entertaining family film about a horse, told from the horse's point of view. The cinematography is beautiful, but the story is so heartwarming its a bit cliche. That would bump it down half a star. The other half a star goes away because of the narration. The voice of the narrator (the horse) is just too cartoonish to be taken seriously in a live action film. Two types of people would be able to watch this film and give it a five star rating: kids and horse lovers, and my wife fits in well in both categories (love you, Christy).
Rated G.
