2006 *1/2 114 mins. (Unrated Extended Cut runs 116 mins.)
WOW! Could this film possibly be worse? Well, obviously, because I could have bombed it. I didn't because it has good production value in how it's shot. Otherwise, the story is practically non-existent, I don't care about any of the characters (even Catherine Trammel doesn't seem like the same, manipulative character; her lines have gotten so . . . uncreative), and it barely even qualifies as a "sexual" thriller, because the few sex scenes that are in the film are too short. Basically, the story takes place in England, and Catherine Trammel begins seeing a pshycologist. Murders take place, the psychologist becomes more and more involved with Catherine, and the ending is just too easy. This film does have a cool alternate title, though: Basic Instinct 2: Risk Addiction.
Rated R for strong sexuality, nudity, violence, language and some drug content. Extended Cut is not rated.
