Mongolian Cloud-Harvester (Spike's Lament)
What did you do to me To make it so I can't get your name To leave my mind? I close my eyes and I see your face, And I want to touch you, But you're just too far away. I don't even know you, But you're always what I'm thinking of. It's not fair -- I think of you, But I bet you never think of me. If I wish real hard, I can Get rid of the memory. Rid my head of the hands And the voice and the smile That you touched me with. But I don't want to, Because I'm hopelessly -- I've fallen for you. I will admit that this is a very strange title. I got the Mongolian Cloud-Harvester thing from something my freshman English teacher said in class one day (go Mr. Schnaars!). And anyone who knows me knows I am a *huge* Buffy the Vampire Slayer fan. When I started writing this, I just wanted to use the "Mongolian Cloud-Harvester" thing, because it was a cool idea. But when I got into it, I realized it sounded like something Spike would write to Buffy. I'm sure those of you that watch the show would agree with me. Anyway, so that's why it's called Mongolian Cloud-Harvester (Spike's Lament).
