Having consumed the required number of beers the previous night at the Portsea Hotel, the Challenge moved to the classic Dunes layout. Despite Rohans aversion to Thomson links courses, he was enjoying the Dunes tradtional links layout. Starting on the 10th Rohan soared to the lead with an even par 36 which included 3 birdies and set a record gross score for nine holes and almost going 'sub-par'. Bondie continued his form into the second round, and Simon started his run up the leaderboard with some solid shotmaking but dont mention the Par 5 12th. Mike was making up for yesterdays crap round but suffered on the 15th making a mess of a definite birdie chance. AB played some good golf but had a couple of blowouts on the front nine, Pauls birdie on the tough Par 3 17th a highlight.,

Rohan started the back nine where he left off, climbing onto the par train for 2nd and 3rd and 4th, but a triple bogey on the 5th hole halted the Tudor charge temporarily, he finished four shots ahead of the field at 2 under. Steve had a solid back nine with a birdie and two pars. Simon was also on a charge carding two pars and two birdies including a miraculous up and down for birdie on the 9th from a deep fairway bunker, it moved Simon into second place. Andrew Millar struggled on the back nine with a seven on the 6th hole stopping the Millar run. AB got the game back on track with a birdie on the 7th, Paul had a couple of nasty holes and made a good par on the 3rd.
