| The Sabre class is a long-range scout vesssel. |
| History The Sabre is another vessel designed to combat the Borg, and like the others wasn't finished in time for the Battle of Wolf 359. It was however finished in time for the Sector 001 Conflict. While it was small it did prove to deliever quite a punch with its armaments. After this battle they were assinged to patrol the Romulan border to make sure they wouldn't try an attack on the Federation. After the Romulans joined the Federation's side in the Dominion War the Sabres were re-assinged to the war fleets to help the bulky Excelsior and Galaxy class ships, and to aide the Peregrine class vessels in hit-and-run assaults. |
