| The Romulans are sometimes known as the cousins of the Vulcans because of their almost identical appearence. Though they started out the same race the Romulans have mentally evolved differently. |
| Since the beginning the Romulan Empire have proved to be a sneaky enemy to several species including the Federation and Klingons. Early on they gained an advantage by designing cloaking devices and distributing them throughout their fleet. |
| After the Tomed Incident incident in 2311 the Romulans and Federation ended hostilities. Afterwards the Romulans went into a period of isolation utnil 2364 when several Neutral Zone colonies were attacked by the Borg. |
