camisk (Turian): a style of camisk worn by slaves in the city-state of Turia; cloth shaped like an inverted ‘T’ wiht a beveled crossbar fastened behind the neck and falls before the wearer’s body; the crossbar then passes between her legs adn is then brought forward snuggly at the hips; it is held in place by a single cord that binds it at the back of the neck, behind the back, and in front of the waist. (Captive of Gor, page 160; Guardsman of Gor, page 107; Dancer of Gor, page 155)

chalwar: baggy pants of diaphanous silk worn by slave girls of the Tahari; similar to the harem trousers of Earth. (Tribesmen of Gor, page 105)

chatka: the strip of black leather, some 6 inches by 5 feet long, worn like a breech- clout over the curla by the slave girls of the Wagon Peoples. (Nomads of Gor, page 30; Slave Girl of Gor, page 329)

curla: the red waist cord worn by slave- girls of the Wagon Peoples; supports the chatka. (Nomads of Gor, page 30; Slave Girl of Gor, page 328)

haik: the loose, dark, head to toe garb of the Tahari; there is a small lace or mesh covered aperture for the wearer to look through, yet still be concealed; mostly worn by Free Women of the Tahari, but also sometimes by slaves--the difference is that the slave is naked beneath such. (Tribesmen of Gor)

kalmak: vest of black leather worn by the slave girls of the Wagon Peoples. (Nomads of Gor, page 30; Slave Girl of Gor, page 329)

kes: short tunic of black leather worn by the male slaves of the Wagon Peoples. (Nomads of Gor, page 30)

kirtle: a soft ankle-length white woolen dress worn by the bond-maids of Torvaldsland, it ties at the front under the breasts, split to her belly; traditionaly the only piece of clothing a bond-maid wears

koora: strip of red fabric worn as a headband by the slave girls of the Wagon Peoples. (Nomads of Gor, page 30; Slave Girl of Gor, page 329)

pleasure silk: sheer clingy form of silk worn only by slave girls; wraps like a pareau with a disrobing loop at the left shoulder. (Captive of Gor, page 322)

sirik: a arrangement of chains used to display a slave girl rather than confine her; it consists of a collar to which about five feet of chain is attached; part-way down the chain is a pair of manacles and the chain terminates in a set of shackles. (Slave Girl of Gor pages, 83 and 158; Dancer of Gor, pages, 165-166)

slave girdle: a belt to tie around clothes to accent a figure; there are various ways to tie them and it is said that only men know how to tie them properly; they may even be used to bind a girl if needed

thrall tunic: a short work tunic of white wool that male slaves of Torvaldsland

sirik, work: resembles the common sirik but the wrists, to permit work, are granted about a yard of chain. Like the common sirik, it is a lovely chain; women are beautiful in it. (Kajira of Gor, page 145)

ta-teera: a one-piece sleeveless short slave garment, torn here and there; also called a slave rag. (Slave Girl of Gor, page 81; Book 22: Dancer of Gor, page 280)

talmit: headband. (Book 9: Marauders of Gor page 139)kajira talmit is a headband worn by work slaves; it can denote girls with authority over other slaves.(Captive of Gor, pages 285-286)

thrall tunic: a short work tunic of white wool that male slaves of Torvaldsland

Adornments and Accessories

anklet: beaded cuffs, about two inches high, as are worn by the Red Savage slaves

armlets: gold and silver bands that decorate a slaves arms, some studded with stones, worn tightly high on the arm

belly chain: a chain that fits around a girl's waist and cannot be removed because of a girl's wide hips; there is a heavy padlock at the girl's back; in the front of the chain may be a heavy medallion-like metal disk with kef on it

bina (slave beads): slave jewelry, usually consisting of plain metals, colored string, wooden or cheap glass beads; sometimes used as a slave name (Slave Girl of Gor, page 82)

body chain: closely meshed length of chain about 5 feet in length which can be used in a variety of ways to bedeck or secure a slave. Some are decorated with semi-precious stones and wooden beads. Detachable lock and snap clips allow the chain to be transformed from slave jewelry to slave restraint. (Rogue of Gor, pages 71-72, Guardsman of Gor, page 281)

buttons: a 'recent' innovation for slave attire, not used on the garments of Freepersons.

hook bracelets: leather cuffs with locks on them and snaps; they are soft and the snaps require no key. Some men enjoy them on their slaves; by means of the straps the girl may be variously secured by the locked cuffs. (Slave Girl of Gor, page 297)

identifying bracelets: used in lieu of a collar, described as silver, it is attached to the wrist of a slave

slave bells: tiny bells which give off a sensual shimmer of sound; threaded by the dozen on thongs or chains they may be tied or locked around a girl's ankles or wrists or attached to her collar; are worn or removed only at the whim of a master. Thought to be symbolic of their status of domestic animals, property, in bondage. (Slave Girl of Gor, page 84; Vagabonds of Gor, pages 20-21)

slave bracelets: manacles of various types intended to restrain the wrists of a slave; some are akin to handcuffs while some are almost jewelry light restraining bracelets made of blue and gold stones. (Tarnsman of Gor, page 102; Dancer of Gor, page 218)

slave hood: a leather hood having no opening for eyes mouth or ears which covers a slave's entire head; usually has a gag attachment. (Slave Girl of Gor, page 146)

slave rag: ta-teera. (Slave Girl of Gor, page 81; Dancer of Gor, page 280)

slave steel: generic term for collars chains siriks etc. worn by slaves. (Priest-Kings of Gor, page 158)

slave strap: heavy strap or belt which buckles behind the wearer's back; in front there is a metal plate with a welded ring through which passes the 4 hort (5 inches) chain of a pair of slave bracelets; designed to keep the wearer's hand before his body. (Hunters of Gor, page 65)

slave veil: a small triangle of diaphanous yellow silk worn across the bridge of the nose and covering the lower half of the face; it parodies the heavy veils worn by free women as it conceals nothing and often arouses the lust of masters. (Slave Girl of Gor, page 107)

thongs: any number of thongs used for tying of the wrists or ankles, for binding (Nomads of Gor)









The door opened, admitting a small, exquisite, dark-haired woman. She wore a brief, whitish, summery, floral-print tunic, almost diaphanous, with a plunging neckline. The print was a tasteful scattering of delicate yellow flowers, perhaps silk-screened in place. The garment was belted, and rather snugly, with two turns of a narrow, silken, yellow cord, knotted at her left hip. She was barefoot. I noted that she did not wear an anklet, such as I wore. There was something on her neck, however, something fastened closely about it, en- cased in a silken yellow sheath or sleeve. I did not know what it was. It could not be metal, of course. That would be terri- fying. I noted that the door, which now closed behind her, wag some six inches thick. {Kajira of Gor}







I looked at the girl in the light, floral-print tunic, kneeling a few feet from the bed. It was almost diaphanous. It was not difficult to detect the lineaments of her beauty beneath it. seemed a garment which was, in its way, demure and yet, the same time, extremely provocative. To see a woman such a garment, I suspected, might drive a man half mad .with passion. I wondered what was concealed in the silken sheath about her neck. {Kajira of Gor}
