Aspects Assessment

Sociability and Cultural Aspect Assessment

Even though this community is targeted on people in Australia, a few concerned aspects need to be regarded during the implementation of this community. The problems are listed below:-

Language Barrier

Although English is Australia’s primary used language, the language barrier will still be a concerned problem in the community as there are still other Australians that are not so keen in English usage logging into the website constantly. Moreover, the website is posted in the internet, hence, the possibility of people in non-English usage country logging into the website is there. In order to solve this problem, promoting different language version of the community seems to be the solution. However, being a new community in the Internet, the popularity level of the community is still unknown. Thus, sticking to the popular usage language – English – is the only rational to do at the moment.

Different Views

People from different backgrounds will have different views and opinions on the same thing. Even though is situation is unavoidable, it is recommended that a set of rules or netiquettes should be set for members to follow and agree to when they register to be a member in the community. The set of rules should be posted in the website for members and public to refer to whenever they want to.

Information Accuracy Level

The accuracy of information posted in the community might be doubtful. As people would have the free of speech in posting whatever they want in the discussion forums and chat rooms, in order to solve this problem, certain level of moderation in the discussion forums and chat rooms would be needed, such as rejecting offensive words and messages to be posted in the discussion forum and chat rooms, and also deleting offensive messages that are posted.
