| Name: Anoronwen (Malinalda) Nickname/s: An Status: High Archer of the Golden Wood Race: Half-elven Gender: Female Origin: Lorien Personal Status: Taken, true love of Hawk Language: Sindarian, Quenya, the Common Tongue Age: 2036 Height: 5'7" Weight: 120 Build: Slender, sleek, graceful, and yet strong, although only a half-elf she looks completly like any full-blood elf of Lorien. Hair: Long, blonde, usually blowing free or with half of it pulled back, but somtimes in a braid or tucked up. Eyes: blue and unearthly Skin: Fair and unmarred, slightly darker than most elves Distinctive Marks: A long scar on her back in the shape of a crecent moon, starting in the middle of her shoulder blades. Clothing: Emerald green cloak and elven over-vest which comes halfway to her knees, white elven blouse and emerald green leggings, leather elven boots. Weapons: Mainly her Bow of Lorien and and arrow and sword Isil (Quenya for "moon") which was her father's before he died, which he took from his father before fleeing the Southron Moon Tribe. It is the heirloom of the tribe. It has many odd properties about it and odd writing is upon the blade which few can read. She also weilds two twin elvish daggars that she carries in her boots and is handy with any weapon given to her. Special Abilities: Riding, fighting, healing, can talk to animals, a small bit of magic. Animals/Steeds: Her white steed F�anor Personality: Kind, caring, and loyal to her friends. She is observant and dislikes fighting because of her history, but will do what she must to help her and her friends. However, she is a skilled archer with deadly aim and a sword that bites. She is wise and learned and very quiet and withdrawn. Malinalda caries a royal air about her. She does not talk much about her past with anyone for obvious reasons. Interests: Singing, watching the stars, talking with the animals, magic, playing her lute. Family: Her grandparents had both been unlike their kind and ventured outside the realms of their people, and thus they had married and Malinalda's father was born, living among the Harradrim, for the people of Lorien would not have an enemy within their boarders. Malinalda's mother was an elf of Rivendell and her father was a Half-elf. Malinalda does not know that her father was born into the Moon Tribe who dwelled under Southron rule, or that her grandfather was one of the lead chiefs of the Army and head of the Tribes. He was one of the main advisor for the Kings who ruled during his time. When time came for Malinalda's father to join the army he refused and fled from the Southron Tribes. He was made an outcast and fled to Lorien and the elves, who at first would not have him because of his tainted heritage. However, after he saved the life of an elf of Lorien they granted him one wish, and it was that he could live among them in the Golden Wood; his wish was granted. Malinalda is also unaware that she had an older brother, who ran away from the Golden Wood at a young age before his father was killed. No one knows where he went, and she was never told of him. Malinalda has often been alone without friends, wandering in the wilderness or climbing the ranks of the Archers of Lorien. Still, she thinks of her friends more as her family, since she has none left in Middle-earth. Fostered by Galadriel and Celeborn long after Lady Naira, but An does not speak of this, nor does anyone know in the company History: An's given name was Malinalda. Her mother was an elf from Rivendell, learned in magic from Lord Elrond Half-Elven, and her father was one of the High Captians of the Lorien Guard. The two met when Malinalda's father was sent on a mission to Imladris to deliver news to Elrond. At this time Malinalda's mother was the head handmaiden and dear friend to Lady Arwen. The two met and fell in love in Rivendell, and together they went back to Lorien and were wed. When Malinalda was only an infant her father died while trying to defend the boarders, although it was speculated that he was murdered perpously. Later in the year while mother and daughter were travelling from Lorien to Rivendell somone attempted to kill her mother, and Malinalda, then an infant, could do nothing. Her mother fought with the assaliant until he fled, but not after recieving a crecent scar on her back. Mother and daughter continued to live in Lorien. Finally Malinalda's mother was practically killed while gathering herbs outside the boarders of Lorien, and so they took her, wounded, to the Havens without Malinalda's knowing, and the child was placed in the hands of the Lady Galadriel, who felt pity for the poor elf. Before her mother left, Malinalda was given the emerald amulet which her mother had always worn. It gave off a pale light, and as An found out when she was older, it contained some of the magic of her mother. Galadriel raised Malinalda for many years, but changed the elf's name to Anoronwen to help disguise her identity as to help protect the elf. Galadriel helped to season An her in her mother's magic, one of it's traits being able to speak to animals, among many other unusual powers. Finally Galadriel thought it time to send Anoronwen out into Middle-earth, partially because a threat was made on An's life and it seemed as though An's true identity had been discovered. During the night An was given an identical crecent slash down her back as her mother had recieved, yet they had not been able to kill her, for An had awoken and warded off the assassin. No longer safe in Lorien, Galadriel gave An her blessing and sent her off into the world, telling her to keep her orgins and her amulet a secret. Wandering, Anoronwen stumbled upon the company, already set out on their mission during the midst of a battle with the Haradrim. She saved the elf Hawk's life and later on the two became lovers as An joined the group on their quest. An has not told anyone of her past for fear that she may be betrayed, and feels as though she is being followed. She is kind to any who need help and eager to help others. |
