The structure shown is about a quarter mile long, and has a thick 15-foot weedline in the summer months. The lake contains big northern pike and largemouth bass.


Review the structure map and answer the following questions. ( Answers: Figure B)

 

1. How many potential contact points are there? Rank the contact points. (Figure A)

2. Where and how would you anchor on each potential contact point?

3. Using the best contact point, what detailed path will the fish follow to reach the shallows?

4. Which fish species will be the easiest to catch, and why?

5. Would you fish the lower ranked contact points? Why or why not?
