Now the government is getting into the rock thing. This gig was witnessed from start to
finish by no other than the Baler Mayor. Lots of empty tables, chairs and bleacher seats
but a great gig anyway. I arrived late and missed some bands. This one's SUCK SOUL.
They should be commended for keeping up their lineup, staying together for years and for
having a Luke Mijares lookalike for a vocalist.
Science High female band WORCESTERSHIRE GIRLS recovering from the recent
in-school beauty pageant doing the usual stuff. I was hoping for an Avril cover but was
disappointed.
BADFISH graduated from their Incubus phase and are now into surf songs.
They're even experimenting on original stuff. Dong Mapindan was hired from Marco
Villareal's beach surfer band to provide the bass licks. Amado, as usual, played in 5
bands during the whole gig.
The Underground Chicken Sound got tired of their chicken sound and is now only called 13th
UNDERGROUND. They tried booting out their Tourette's Syndrome afflicted vocalist
but brought him back after promising that he will never curse the audience again.
After he was kicked in the stomach by their guitarist for breaking his promise, the
vocalist was replaced by a Barok look-alike. Barok said he will return to Baler and kill
us all if we posted the picture of his doppelganger.
TOMATO MAY, Rowie's band of the moment did a passable cover of Here Is
Gone. Mark Rubio, who thought of the band name and the My Gen 2.5 female vocalist were
absent.
The DEAD TREES - still alive.
I think that this is Marlon Calderon of the almost famous Baler band Bonog Fever. I could
be wrong.
Amads guitar student Jonjon Cruz and his 90's grunge costume making his Tito Juan proud.
Toytoy resigned from Bush's Army and is now into CAKE AND NUTS, whatever
that is.
This is not a rehearsal. The crowds sitting on the bleachers all tried the new San Miguel
Invisibility Beer. Really worked.
And the winner of this year's Mr. Universe is.... Marco of D' AYYOTS.
Billed as COUNTER KULTO, they decided to change their name to a more descent one. Best
Songs: Sitting On The Curve and Betterman.
If this is a beauty contest, this babe would be crowned as the winner. Lot Gonzales of
Bahia de Baler.
