This gimmick was set up to test the musical skills of Baler bands and to try a new flavor
of local rock. San Luis Fiesta's Battle of the Band winners SUCK SOUL
started the racket by reciting "Me Ultimo Adios"
ARMY NI BUSH posse did a wonderful cover of yoyoy Villame's
"Philippine Geography". Then they covered a Travis cover of Britney Spears'
"Hit Me Baby One More Time".
TOMATO MAY the new reincarnation of Super Lalamunan recruited a Regine
soundalike named Versumarvi to sing a ballad version of Linkin Park's "Points of
Authority". Actually, shed did a nice rendition of "Here's Where Thre Story
Ends".
Brgy. 2's pride Rowie Buenavista, one of the four vocalist of the band singing an
unforgettable song that I unfortunately forgot.
The night's surprise duet...simply labeled as a question mark in the ads. Aurora's M2M.
Could be the best performance of the night.
DEAD TREES. This is where Patrick's association with the band officially
ended. The former lead guitarist decided to sell his guitar and concentrate on his
firefightin'.
Patrick was replaced by no other than... Ely Buendia.
THE GROUNDS finally had a chance to play and their set was the most
plugged of all unplugged performances.
When you know how to use a mike, you're halfway to stardom. Dennis Belen of the Grounds
giving a lesson on taming the microphone.
In the tradition of Eraserheads replacing Ely with a female singer, the remains of Badfish
recruited Rhea Vargas and renamed themselves THE TOYS only for the night.
With them were members of Dead Trees and Suck Soul.
Beng Herminigildo posing ala Hunk for the latest issue of Health and Home magazine.
A nice drunken two-song jam ended the shindig. The Dead Trees with Beng Laden and amado
Valenzuela. The crowd left when the organizers ran out of Sisig.
