Both Joanthan and Jean are Zambians. They did the Discipleship Training School together at YWAM Lusaka Base, Served there for a year, and then staffed at YWAM Stilfontein, Muizenberg and Worcester (in South Africa) between 1994 and 1999. Both are BA degree candidates in the Faculty of Counseling and Health Care (they both need 24 weeks to graduate). Jonathan has an MA in Christian Ministries, an MA in Christian Education, and a Graduate Diploma in Community Tech/Development. They have a grown up son who is married, a 16 year old son, and a 7 year-old daughter. They have lived on YWAM Bases for the last 16 years. Living in with staff and students has been great fun but Jonathan can't wait to see the buiding finish so that more people, of all ages, can come live and learn in a family-friendly base setting. Jonathan is an artist, Jean is a dressmaker among many other hobbies.

It goes without saying that our location is one of the best in Africa and the piece of land the Lord promised us is an enviable piec of prime land. We love the rented house from which we have been running our proggrams and ministries for the last 8 years. However, we feel the time to cross over into our inheritance is now. If you feel burdened to pray for us as a Base ministry, we will be glad if our priority--giving a permanent home to YWAM Living Stone's ministries--is among your prayer points. In the picture above, The foundation trenches had just been made. Since then we have laid the footing concrete and will be building the box this month (May)
To train 100 students at Associates degree level every year and to see them use their skills in the service of God, family, and country. We see the need equip and release 1000 missionaries from Africa in the next ten years.
Mission
We serve in YWAM Zambia to provide quality Christian tertiary education (at Associates degree level) in nonformal modular blocks. This is to empower many who would be excluded in a formal system and any Christian who can profit from this type of education.
