| The children's ministries was intended for children who are over 3 years old because very few people are gifted in handling multiple age-groups at once. In the picture above Fred poses with a baby and Billy Musonda, an Accounting Technician (not in the picture) works with a girl called, Docus, to keep the ministry running when Fred is not available. We take our hats off to these senior youth minister members who are helping with ministering to the little ones. We have been trusting God for a children's play park (jungle gymn). After our friends Kathleen and Lena bought a swing for Abigail two years ago, the swing has been a great place to play for the children, youths, and even some adults love to sit there even if they cannot swing on it. In the picture on the right above, Anthony, an English YWAMer takes time to help with the children's ministry. Usually there are about 30 kids but during the end of the year party, the number of kids more than doubled because the party was free of charge to the kids. Fred asked a few senior youths to donate towards the kids party. We are happy for the children but we would be happier with more children's ministries volunteers. Keep praying with us for the slides and swings until the dream becomes a reality. Playing is therapeutic in our traumatized society. With most of the land given away for economic purposes, and public amenities taken by politicians, most of the youths are growing up without playing. As disease and poverty devastates families in Zambia, the need for Churches and missions to help also increases. |

| In case you did not get this note earlier, I (Jonathan) worked for an international NGO and took thousands of photos for their child-sponsor based programs. I have taken a minimum of photos to make it clear to our 20,000 volunteer staff in YWAM International that those with a heart for ministry to children are welcome to consider volunteering with us. We do not own the children. We only minister to children with the permission of their family of origin if it is available. We do not feeding programs or even if we have once bought uniforms for all the children who were in the ministry at that time (a friend called Nannette Ward dornated the funds as a one time gift to the children)! We never go out to solicite funds for any or the children although we do make known the needs of the ministry as a whole. | |||||||||||||||||||
