Learning Beliefs

Assessment and evaluation has taken many forms. Using technology as means of assessm steent is more engaging for students and teachers. Artifact 1 is my personal electronic portfolio, which demonstrates an awarness of technology tools to collect, analyze, interpret, represent and communicate data for the purpose of instruction. The electonic portfolio shows the use of technology skills learned.

In a higher educational level, these portfolios provide self - and peer assessment. This assessment tools provides self-instruction to students, where students are activly participating in their learning. On a personal level, I have a feeling of accomplishment when it is viewed. During the creation of the electonic portfolio a student advances from learning a new tool to mastering the technology.

Artifact II is the rubric from a webquest project created for NJCU. The rubric demonstates guiding students in self- and peer-assessment tools to critique student-created technology projects and the process used to create the products. Also artifact II, allowed students to be active learners where they collected, analyzed, and manipulated data.
