The Greenhouse - Poetry

My poetry isn't all that great, but here's some anyway. Laugh, cry, curse, whatever... it's all good. If you would like to let me know what you think of it, drop me a line at joemoab at oddpost dot com.

Closeness - a poem written about a heated meeting of lovers. It was a star-crossed love affair, fun but tragic.
Contrasts - written on a bright day, just a mental doodle really.
Cycles - written after watching a short summer shower. Another mental doodle.
The Fair - after going to the fair with friends, I thought it would be fun to write a poem about the state fair.
Heartbeat - written just to charm the pants off a girl. (it did) Interestingly enough, I wrote several variations to the end... one of which pointed out that the affair would never last.
The Journey - my first poem ever, written when I was in junior high originally. Slightly revised (but not by much) when I was older.
The Journey Continues - when my mom found The Journey in an old scrapbook and gave it to me, I decided to write a follow up from an older point of view.
Limericks - just plain fun!
Nonsense - the deepest four line poem I've ever written. About life, death, and the time in between.
Rendezvous - a love poem, written over a lost love when I thought she was the one.
Shame - just an excercise, even though it is written from first person view, I never really knew the girl. As the first lines suggest, it was a daydream.
A Walk - a daydream after the love affair ended.
Winged Heart - a friend asked me to write a poem about her. It is WAY overstated, but still a beautiful poem I think.
Wishes - friends and I were talking about three wishes from a genie, I thought I would write a poem about it.
