The Journey - by Joe Clune

The ant set out across the desert;
strong willed and determined to traverse it.
His purpose is to explore and learn;
in spite of the danger at every turn.

What will be there on the other side?
He does not question; he will know in time.
By keeping true he will reach the aim,
no tarrying or want for personal gain.

He knows there are traps along the way,
set by others to catch the unwary.
In the end there may be no reward,
but that does not keep him from starting forward.

The ant set out across the desert;
strong willed and determined to traverse it.
He knows in time he will reach his goal
and does not care whether it be sand or gold.
