2.1 Francis (1) Wisdom, b: c 1676, d: c 1750 in Orange county, VA seems to have been the son of Thomas (1) Wisdom, b: c 1630-1696, last of Petsoe Parish, Glouster Co., Va. This Francis (1) Wisdom seems to have lived in Glouster, King & Queen & Orange Counties, Va. He was married c 1697 to ?? (wife unknown but may have been a Miller ?). There may have been others but Francis (1) Wisdom seems to have had at least four children as follows:
3.1 John (1) Wisdom, b: c 1698, d: 1762, married #1 ??? (issue 4), married #2 Ann Collins (issue 9).
3.2 William (1) Wisdom, b: c1700, d 1722, last of Caroline County
3.3 Francis Terrence (2) Wisdom, b: c1704, d: 1794, last of Pitts. County, VA
3.4 Nancy Ann (Nan) Wisdom, b: c 1714, d: 1816, last of Orange Co., VA. Nancy Ann (Nan) Wisdom married John White, issue 10.
THIRD GENERATION
The Thomas (1) Wisdom Family expands to three major branches at the Third Generation. These four Wisdom members are hereinafter, addressed under subheadings numbered 3.1, 3.2, 3.3 & 3.4.
3.1 John Wisdom, s/o Francis, was born either in Glouster or King & Queen Co., Va. He remeoved to Orange Co., jVa in 1733 where he was granted 800 acres of land. He married twice. #1 unknown with issue 4, #2 Ann Collins (issue 9). My wife, Odessa Faye Wisdom Ellis descends from John & Ann Collins, via their son Thomas Wisdom. John Wisdom's children are included here for the sake of continuity.
4.1 Francis Wisdom, c. 1720-1758, born in K & Q & in Orange Co., Va by 1733; married c 1751 to Sarah Bell, d/o Roger Bell. They had daughters: Frankie & Lucy. Francis Wisdom was killed by Berryman Davis on 6 Dec 1758 in Orange Co., VA.
4.2 John Wisdom, b c 1722, d c 1824 at age 102, born in K&Q & in Orange Co., Va by 1733; seems to have married twice, #1 unknown, #2 Sarah ???, disowned by father 1759; He removed to Wilkes Co., N. C. 1778 & granted land on Kings Cr.; He removed to Madison Co., KY in 1788 & owned land there; He removed to Green Co., Ky 1766, area became Cumberland Co., He lived on Wisdoms Br of Caseys Fork of Marrowbone; his children: William, Francis, Thomas, Pollard, Mary, John Jr., Drucilla.
