4.1 Thomas (3) Wisdom (c 1738-1781), born in Spots. Co., VA c 1738; he married Marth Lewis, d/o Henry Lewis & wife, Martha, c 1764 (Spots). He & Francis (2) Wisdom were alt. Excrs. of John (1) Wisdom's Est. 1762 (Orange Co., ); He removed to Caswell Co., NC in 1778/79 & owned land on waters of N. Hico; He died before Dec 1781 with wife, Martha, as Adm.; Martha bought 150 acres of land on N. Hico 3 Oct 1781; he & his son, Lewis mentioned in Francis (2) Wisdom's will (15 Oct 1794); His children are thought to be as follows:
5.1 Larkin Wisdom (c1765-1846) born in Spots. Co., VA; He removed as a lad to Caswell Co., NC 1778/79; he was given PA by his brother, James & sisters, Sarah & Martha in Caswell Co., to ask for & recover their inheritance from Estate of their grandfather, Francis (2) Wisdom, dec. in Pitts. Co., Va. (PA dates 6 Jan 1795 & 26 Jan 1795); In 1789 he received 300 acres on Holsten River, by Land Grant in Wash. Co., TN.; In 1795, he bought the 485 acres of Francis (2) Wisdom's Estate from D. C. Williams Excer. He & wife, Eliz., sold 215 acres of this land in 1795 to Wm. Stratton (Pitts. Co., Va); He married Eliz? (Phelps) c 1786 (issue at least 2 sons & 3 daughters) (Note- Lavelle C. Hogg states that Larkin died 1846 in White Co., TN.)
5.2 James Wisdom (c1768-????), born in Spots co., Va; He removed as a child to Caswell Co., NC 1778/79; He gave PA to brother Larkin in 1795 to recover his inheritance from Estate of his grandfather, Francis (2) Wisdom, dec. of Pitts. Co., Va; He bought land in Caswell Co., NC as follows: 1800-45 acres on N. Hico. 1804-190 acres on N. Hico. 1804-2 acres & Grist Mill on N. Hico with John Warren. 80 acres on N. Hico & Panther Cr. He was on 1800 Census with a wife & 1 son and 2 daughters. James Wisdom married ? (wife unknown). James was shown on 1823 Persons Co., NC Tax List.
Note: This James, grandson of Francis (2) Wisdom is thougth to be the (142) James Wisdom claimed by venerable George W. Wisdom in his vintage 1910 book?
5.3 John Wisdom (c. 1770-18??), born in Spots. Co., VA; He removed as a child to Caswell Co., NC in 1778/79; He married Sarah Fuller on 10 Feb 1792 in Caswell Co., NC; He bought 100 acres of land on Coney Cr. of N. Hico from Henry Fuller, Jr. on 25 Jul 1796; he was Adm. of Estate of Lewis Wisdom, dec on 20 Dec. 1808, where he sold 37 acres of land on N. Hico to Abner Wisdom; he was shown on 1814 Persons Co., Tax list; he was shown on 1800 census for Caswell Co., NC with a wife and a son & daughter less than 10 years of age.
Note: This John Wisdom is thought to be a son of Thomas (3) Wisdom & wife, Martha Lewis, due to his age & the fact that he lived in close proximity to his mother, Martha, his brothers, Larkin & James & of most significance was the Adm of thye Estate of Lewis Wisdom Estate 9another Bro.)
Note: This John Wisdom is not the (144) John Wisdom claimed in the 1910 George W. Wisdom's book.
