#6. The WTO supports big business at the expense of people. Ie. The South African government was threatened with a WTO challenge over proposed national health laws that encouraged the use of generic drugs.
#7. The WTO rules that national policies aimed at rewarding companies who use domestic materials , hire local residents or are environmental friendly essentially illegal.
#8. The WTO undermines National sovereignty through its supranational court system that can sanction countries economically for failure to comply with its rulings. |
