Pg-#6-

Deanna Christian, a sweet looking grandmother, was pepper-sprayed in the face as she stood on a street corner holding a sign which proclaimed, "Democracy". (Democracy seems to be quite an offensive term these days)
She stated, "I suffer from asthma. I thought I was going to die."

Kari Lerum, a professor of sociology at the Seattle University said that several of the protestors sought refuge in her home. She states, "One was suffering a panic attack. Another had just left a restaurant when she was hit by a rubber bullet. You expect this in China and Indonesia, not in Seattle."

Why was this kind of brutality brought to bear against  innocent people? Why? Because they opposed global governance. Because they had the firm belief that freedom and democracy should mean something. That unelected bodies like the WTO should not be determing our national policies.
...because our leaders have sold us out and we weren't even consulted on the price.

One global sellout, President Bill Clinton, (who was appointed by the Chinese government), stated in Washington, "I'm very sympathetic with a lot of the causes being raised by all the people that are there demonstrating and since this is now become a global society with global communications as well as a global economy, I think it was unrealistic to assume that for the next 50 years, trade can be like its been for the last 50."

He used the "global" buzzword three times in his speech with emphasis added. This buzzword is often heard from those who support global government and civil society movements. No coincidence.
