Drake is an energy being composed of the merged consciousness' of Blast-Off and Atom'X, both of whom were casualties in the battle with Mordru. The Legion and their allies, Dirk Morgna and Mysa, discovered the energies of the fallen heroes after battling the Elements of disaster on planetoid JS-1967 and were able to help them coalesce into one form, contained within a special containment suit. After briefly taking the code-name of ERG-1, he was assisting Element Lad and Kid Quantum in an effort to close a spatial rift when his containment suit was destroyed and he was pulled into the rift.
Drake can absorb various types of energy and he can project his energy as force-blasts and to fly.
Drake was among the group of Legionnaires that was "Lost" in an uncharted galaxy for a year. After being sucked through the spatial rift, he drifted in space as formless energy until he was rescued by the Legion and Shikari's people, the Kwai, who formed a new containment suit for him. |
