86230 stands at the buffer stops at London Liverpool St. The unit is operated by Anglia trains which operated intercity services to the Anglia into East Midlands.

86250 stands at London Liverpool St on 2nd January 2004. It's next working will be a boat train service to Harwich International.

The nameplate of 86250 'sheppard 100' This locomotive is thought to hold the record journey time between Liverpool Street to Ipswich. On 27th August 1992 it covered the route in just 50 minutes, 3 seconds!

The connection between locomotive and coaches is show here. The Anglia 86's work with push-pull Mk2 stock and some kind of driving van trailor on the rear which is to a Mk2 coach profile and contains some passenger seating. 02/01/04


This view shows the other side of 86250. The engine is in need of a jolly good clean, though it is admitedly not as dirty as the average south eastern or south central train!

This is one of the bogies on 86250. Both bogies are the same, and appear to have quite substantial suspention. The picture also shows off the dirt on the body well!
