50. Move by Thousand Foot Krutch Stats: Debuted on the Top 25 on October 6 at #25. Has currently spent ten weeks on the Top 25, peaking at #11. This one of 2005's surprise hits, as it was not pegged early as a success. But it found a way to sneak in as one of 2005's best. 49. When I Get Where I'm Going by Brad Paisley f/Dolly Parton Stats: Debuted on the Top 25 on October 6 at #21. Has currently spent ten weeks on the Top 25, and has become one of the singles to hit #1 in 2005. Looks to continue going strong in 2006 become a hit in both years. 48. Songs About Me by Trace Adkins Stats: Debuted on the Top 25 on March 24 at #13. Spent ten weeks on the Top 25, peaking at #2. Songs About Me was one of 2005's best mainly for it's lyrics about the joys of country music which so many tend to miss out on because of "the twang." 47. Holy Water by Big & Rich Stats: Debuted on the Top 15 on September 30, 2004, but spent only two weeks on it. Holy Water returned to the Top 15 on October 21, 2004. The single spent three weeks in the position, and spent a total of 17 weeks on the Top 25 during 2004 and 2005. 46. Studying Politics by Emery Stats: Debuted on the Top 25 on July 7 at #25. Spent twelve weeks on the Top 25, peaking at #9. Studying Politics was just Emery's second single to reach the Top 25, but it managed to be one of 2005's best by steadily climbing the chart. 45. Exit Calypsan by Falling Up Stats: Debuted on the Top 25 on June 9 at #15. Spent just nine weeks in the Top 25, peaking at #9. However, Exit Calypsan hung around in the lower half of the Top 50 for quite a while, allowing it to become one of the top songs in 2005. 44. Wordplay by Jason Mraz Stats: Debuted on the Top 25 on May 12 at #11. Spent eleven weeks in the Top 25, peaking at #3. Wordplay could have charted higher, but faced stiff competition for the top spot during it's time on the Top 25. Still, it was easily one of 2005's top singles. 43. Dance Like by LA Symphony Stats: Debuted on the Top 25 on August 18 at #24. Spent eleven weeks in the Top 25. Was the #1 single of the week for two weeks. Dance Like quickly became one of the best hip hop singles in 2005, and also became one of 2005's best as a whole. 42. Alcohol by Brad Paisley Stats: Paisley's second single to appear on the Top 50 of 2005 debuted at #19 on May 12. Alcohol spent eleven weeks on the Top 25, peaking at #2 (A position the single held for three straight weeks). Nearly a #1 hit, Alcohol was definitely one of the best in 2005. 41. Making Memories Of Us by Keith Urban Stats: Debuted on the Top 25 on April 28 at #19. Spent eleven weeks on the Top 25, peaking at #1, a position the single held for one week. Making Memories Of Us is only Urban's first single to appear on the Top 50 of 2005, so keep looking for more Keith. |
