40. Rain by Breaking Benjamin Stats: Debuted on the Top 25 on June 23 at #19. Spent just eight weeks on the Top 25, peaking at #14. However, strong showings in the bottom half of the Top 50 both before and after making the Top 25 propelled Rain to a spot in 2005's Top 50. 39. Breathe (2 AM) by Anna Nalick Stats: Debuted on the Top 25 on July 14 at #14. Spent twelve weeks on the Top 25, peaking with a two-week stint at #2. Breathe was one of 2005's most infectious songs, and it was also one of the most well-written singles out there. 38. Collide by Howie Day Stats: Debuted on the Top 25 on March 3 at #19. Spent eleven weeks on the Top 25, peaking at #6. Howie Day was one of 2005's top male vocalists. With a solid single like Collide, it's no surprise to see him make 2005's Top 50. 37. Count On Me by Default Stats: Debuted on the Top 25 on July 14 at #23. Spent twelve weeks on the Top 25, peaking at #7. Default's 2005 release, One Thing Remains, was one of 2005's most underrated discs. And Count On Me is, like the disc, deserving of recognition this year. 36. Hide by Joy Williams Stats: Debuted on the Top 25 on March 31 at #13. Spent twelve weeks on the Top 25. Hide nearly reached the top spot, but instead settled for a three-week stint at #2. Joy's improved vocals and music propeeled this strong single into 2005's Top 50. 35. All Of Me by Project 86 Stats: Debuted on the Top 25 on September 29 at #21. Has currently spent eleven weeks on the Top 25, reaching as high as #3 and continuing to gain momentum. All Of Me looks to be one of 2006's early #1 songs propelled by a strong showing in 2005. 34. Waiting (Save Your Life) by Omnisoul Stats: Debuted on the Top 25 on June 9 at #9. Spent eleven weeks on the Top 25, capping off the run with a two-week run at #1. Newcomer Omnisoul's appearance on the Fantastic Four soundtrack gave the disc a much-needed boost and a #1 track in 2005. 33. Who You'd Be Today by Kenny Chesney Stats: Debuted on the Top 25 on September 22 at #14. Has currently spent twelve weeks on the Top 25, peaking at #1. Kenny has been one of the Top 25's mainstays, and Who You'd Be Today was Kenny's chart-record seventh single to hit the Top 25. 32. Anything But Mine by Kenny Chesney Stats: Kenny's earlier hit single in 2005 debuted on November 25, 2004 at #9. It spent 14 weeks in the Top 20, peaking early in 2005 at #1. Anything But Mine is one of Kenny's top singles in his career, and it managed to do quite well early on in 2005. 31. A Boy Brushed In Red...Living In Black And White by Underoath Stats: Debuted on the Top 20 on January 27 at #14. Spent twelve weeks on the Top 20, peaking at #4. Underoath's breakout year in 2005 was topped off by the great success of A Boy Brushed In Red both in the Christian and mainstream realms. |
